Our 'baby' guinea flock have been testing out their wing spans!







These three lucky ducks, (or I should say, guinea hens), aimed for the apple tree, while the other three more competitive birds aimed for the house to see who could fly the highest. I don't know, they must have woken up on the wrong side of the roost and probably further flustered by an early morning argument which must have then led to this daring competition. ;)Obviously, the fella you saw in the top picture was the winner. Second best made on top of the porch roof, and the biggest looser (of all time guinea-hen history, methinks,) hit the top of our bedroom window, startling awake our late sleeper (Donna) and leaving a streak of drool as he slowly slid off the window pane. I'm pretty sure he's now hiding under the chicken house... probably for the rest of his life...
